Virtualization

Surviving and Thriving Incrementally in the new Post COVID19 world demands to rethink waiting rooms and flow of activity in offices and hospitals and the move to a virtual system and home-based monitoring.

This week I review some of the latest clinical signs and symptoms beyond the flu symptoms but we have also seen anosmia (loss of smell) and petechia or rashes that may be the result of some effects of the virus on clotting in our bodies that we are still discovering

From a business perspective some changes to start thinking about in your business – healthcare or otherwise

  • Will you still have or need a waiting room?
  • Could you replace the concept or of the waiting room and move to instant scheduling that adapts based on activity and loads
  • Virtualization of activities – for example, exercise classes
  • Shift to the Home-Based Monitoring and adding in multiple sensors to the home setting (as I shared here)

We are building a set of training modules to help employers think about all aspects of their business and the areas that will need to be updated. For example, any point where employees are expected to enter information into a keypad for authorized entry will need to be re-thought in the context of disease spread and safety
