Feedback Sensors

The Incrementalist Graphic Sri Peruvemba

This week I am interviewing Sri Peruvemba, VP of Strategy at BeBop Sensors. BeBop Sensors is an offshoot from Keith McMillen instruments who brought the BopPad to the world with smart fabric sensor innovation. Sri  shares the key elements of successful companies he has been involved with that includes a hunger on the part of the management team that is married to the right team and skills and the importance of good incremental habits that overcome challenges

We discuss the history of the company from its musical beginnings to the potential for this fabric-based sensor that detects stretch, twist, bending, and force that has already found utility in sports clothing and shoes and the clear opportunity in gaming and mixed reality experiences.

They have added to this with a haptic sensor capability providing custom feedback to individual areas in the fabric that starts to make the Hollywood dream of mixed reality one big step closer to reality. Listen in to hear the potential applications of the sensors and feedback haptics offer in patient care and training. The future of “Oasis” is closer than you think Player One!
